  • Jorge & Gail Revisit

One of the things that I really like to do is revisit old shoots that I have done and do some re-processing. Whenever I get down time in between shoots and snake business I try to go back and just practice and better tune my skills at processing an image. This time I decided to go back to a shoot I did a while ago with some friends of mine who happen to be aspiring photographers as well. One of them, Nick set up this shoot with a really nice couple names Jorge and Gail. After some deliberation Nick decided to setup the shoot at this really nice park in Brea and I cannot wait to shoot there again! You may notice that these photos may be a touch out of focus, let me explain... I purchased a lens right before this shoot that is only manual focus and boy did I suck with manual focus when I first started. Either way I was happy with some of them and decided to re-process anyways. Enjoy.

When we first got to the park we came across this cool little walk way next to a small creek and decided it would be a great place to start!

Jorge happened to be quite the musician, He brought his guitar to serenade Gail (and us photographer) while we snapped some photos!

There was this really neat walkway that lead to a lake that we could not pass up shooting, Jorge and Gail did quite well dealing with our pose requests and even came up with a few of their own!

While walking the park we had to cross this nice little bridge in order to get around the lake and we stopped for some shots!

This shot was shot in color but I thought it came out MUCH better in Black and White.( My B&W photo class is paying off!)

Towards the end of the day we were walking around in our last little bit of sunlight and we got a couple more shots.

This last photo was one of the last ones I shot of the day and I thought it closed out the session quite nicely!

It was a really fun shoot and I walked away with some good practice and learned a great deal from it! I would love to hear your comments and critiques so leave a comment and let me know!

    Until Next Time..
