What a day yesterday was... I am still in awe of how the world could lose 2 amazing icons in one day, 3 Icons in a week. I don't understand it nor do I expect to. as I sit here and listen to old Michael Jackson songs on YouTube. It really puts into perspective how short life really is and how easily you could lose the greatest gift of all.
Michael Jackson meant a lot to this world, As much as people talk bad about him modern music would not be what it is today without him. He has inspired the world with his dancing, his lyrics, and his music. It saddens me to read the things that people say online and in the news about this poor man who's life was taken from him so unexpectedly. He was only 50 years old. I have always wanted to see him perform live, now I will never have the chance to. I can honestly say that Michael Jackson was one of my favorite performers of all time. The way he sang and danced was amazing and will forever be missed.
The beautiful and talented Ferrah Fawcett passed away today too. I was shocked this morning when I first found this out. She has been such a fighter through her whole battle with cancer. I hope someday her death will not be in vain and they come up with better ways to treat this horrible dieses. No one deserves to suffer the fate she did. I feel bad for Ferrah and her family, It almost seems like she's been overlooked due to Micheal Jackson passing. In a way, I am sure the family does not mind the attention being taken away from them, It gives them some privacy to mourn.
I also don't want to leave out Ed McMahon, He was also an icon of his time. I can't remember a time growing up that I didn't watch Star Search with that guy hosting. It just amazes me that all three of these Iconic people in the American and World entertainment industry have all passed in the same week.
Well my friends, Live like every day is your last and hug all those that you truly love. You never know when your last moment will be with them. Don't forget to tell them you love them and enjoy each and every moment you have on this wonderful planet in which we all call home.
I leave you all with this song... This is my favorite Michael Jackson Song. It's the one song that every time I listen to it, makes me want to better myself and those around me.
